We have an opening in our Mokena, Illinois location for an Accounts Payable Associate with experience in the distribution industry to perform a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable processes. The role involves processing invoices and credit memos, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, and supporting the finance team with various administrative tasks.

  • Hybrid position (3 days in office /2 days remote) after training period is complete
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 
  • No weekends!

What you will do:

  • Prepare and execute payments, including checks, electronic transfers and ACH payments. 
  • Match purchase orders and receipts with invoices for accuracy. 
  • Review and process any vendor credit memos timely and accurately. 
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliations 
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships. while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures 
  • Process all vendor direct billings timely and accurately. 
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation. 
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records, including filing and archiving. 
  • Set-up new vendor accounts as needed. Maintain accounts. 
  • Perform other financial tasks as needed. 
  • Minimal travel to other Revere locations required 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma. Associates degree in Accounting preferred. 
  • 2-3 years’ experience with accounts payable or general accounting preferred 
  • Distribution industry experience
  • Epicor Eclipse experience preferred. 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles 
  • High degree of attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks 
  • Strong analytic abilities 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; pursuing or completed coursework in business, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of purchasing or operations experience in electrical distribution preferred.
  • Skills and abilities: Computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP systems; analytical skills, ability to coordinate data, and strong communication.

Physical Aspects 

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in front of a screen throughout the day 
  • Repetitive hand motion/keyboard use

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, and skills.
