Job description

VP of Customer Support (Engineering Background)

Location: Remote (United States-based, with quarterly travel to Mountain View, CA)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

The Vice President of Customer Support will lead the development and execution of global support operations. This role is responsible for building the customer support function from the ground up, including the implementation of support workflows, ticketing systems, SLAs, escalation paths, and team infrastructure. This leader will play a strategic role in shaping the customer experience, supporting a highly technical healthcare AI platform, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure continuous improvement as the company scales.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and lead the customer support organization, processes, and infrastructure
  • Hire and manage a global, technical support team with a culture of operational excellence
  • Develop customer-facing support workflows and internal playbooks to ensure efficiency and scalability
  • Lead resolution of complex technical customer inquiries and escalations with urgency and clarity
  • Partner with Engineering, Growth, and Customer Success teams to relay user insights and drive product improvements
  • Define and track OKRs to enhance customer experience metrics and manage incident response effectively
  • Serve as a core member of the leadership team, contributing to company strategy and vision

What You Bring

      • Experience in a high-growth startup environment or founder/co-founder background
      • Minimum of 5 years building customer support functions from scratch in SaaS or AI-based companies
        • Deep technical or engineering background with experience supporting post-sales solutions
        • Strong leadership skills with a track record of scaling teams globally
        • Availability to work within the 6am to 6pm PT window
        • Ability to operate autonomously and lead cross-functional collaboration at scale
