Monotype is seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Manager to join our growing Americas Sales team. In this role, you'll own a portfolio of existing enterprise clients-building deep relationships, driving adoption, and identifying new revenue opportunities that help brands unlock the full potential of Monotype's creative and technology solutions. We're looking for a self-starter with strong business acumen, a passion for helping clients succeed, and a track record of growing accounts through consultative selling. You'll have the autonomy to lead strategic conversations, identify opportunities for expansion, and deliver measurable results within some of the world's most recognized brands.
What you'll be doing:
  • Own and grow a portfolio of existing enterprise accounts, achieving and exceeding retention and expansion targets of 90%+.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to uncover opportunities, increase adoption, and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify, qualify, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding client challenges and aligning Monotype's solutions to their business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted partner and advisor-building credibility through product expertise, industry insight, and a consultative approach.
  • Lead client conversations end-to-end, including renewals, negotiations, and expansion discussions across key business functions.

  • Stay informed on market trends and competitive activity to proactively position Monotype's solutions and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, sharing insights that drive product innovation and go-to-market strategies.

What we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 4-7 years' proven experience in account management, sales, or customer growth within SaaS, digital media, or technology environments.
  • A hunter mentality within a farmer role-you're as passionate about nurturing relationships as you are about driving new revenue.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or (preferably) exceeding sales and retention goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior-level decision-makers across creative, marketing, and procurement teams.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional organization and follow-through.
  • Strong abilities in prospecting, planning, and implementing Account and Territory Management strategies.
  • Passion for creativity, technology, and helping brands make an impact through design and innovation.
  • Understanding of CRM technology required, experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% annually

What's in it for you:
  • Extensive development and training offerings.
  • Highly engaged Events Committee to keep work enjoyable.
  • Competitive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage to meet all your healthcare needs.
  • Flexible work arrangements and unlimited vacation and sick time.
  • Generous 401k match to save for your future, and so much more!
