We are seeking an Associate Account Manager to join our Service Division in Seattle, WA, supporting our Western Washington Mobile Service team. This role offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in account management, client service, and sales within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
You'll support a portfolio of "house" accounts-smaller, high-volume clients-serving as a key point of contact for day-to-day requests, renewals, and service needs related to preventative maintenance programs (HVAC, plumbing, and building systems). The work is dynamic and provides direct exposure to client interaction, problem-solving, and account coordination.
This role is designed as a development pathway, offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and close partnership with Account Managers and Account Executives. You'll build core skills in managing client relationships while learning how sales and operations teams work together to deliver a strong client experience.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable engaging with clients-someone who takes initiative, follows through, and is motivated to grow within a client-facing, sales-oriented career path.
This role is based in Seattle, WA and operates on a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for designated house accounts, escalating complex customer needs and partnering with Account Managers as appropriate.
  • Manage transactional, high-volume customer interactions for maintained accounts
  • Provide administrative and customer support to Account Managers while gaining exposure to account growth, renewals, and client relationship management.
  • Assistwith renewals, service agreements, and ongoing accountactivities
  • Identify and escalate potential service expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Coordinate with operations, business operations, and service teams to support project delivery and customer needs
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives, and technical service teams to align service offerings
  • Assistin the development, documentation, and maintenance of account management plans for assigned accounts
  • Ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are accurately updated withaccountactivity and plans
  • Shadow Account Managers and Account Executives to learn account management best practices and internal processes
  • Participate in training and learning opportunities to build knowledge of McKinstry's Mobile Service offerings and account structures
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions
  • Ability to build andmaintainprofessional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Client-focused mindset with interest in learning account management and sales fundamentals
  • Experience inclient-facing, customer service, sales, or operations role preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Working knowledge of standard business applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Technical degree, Business degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Some travel (e.g., job sites and client locations); personal transportation required for off-site meetings and visits (reimbursed)

The pay range for this position is $26.83 - $43.85 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is non-exempt and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
