Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Manager, Business Development and contribute to strategic growth in qPCR working closely with our BU team and commercial organization. In this leadership role, you'll develop and implement effective business strategies to expand our market presence and deliver comprehensive scientific solutions to our customers. You'll coordinate with teams while building and maintaining senior-level relationships with key accounts to improve market share and drive success.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll identify and develop new business opportunities, implement strategic plans, and ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives. You'll be responsible for tracking project pipelines, analyzing market trends, and providing valuable insights to senior management. This role offers the opportunity to promote Thermo Fisher's diverse portfolio of products and services while building long-term partnerships with industry leaders.
Education Requirements:

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in business development or strategic sales with proven track record of achievement

Required Qualifications:

  • Leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams

  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling and strategic account management

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to develop and execute strategic plans

  • Experience working effectively in matrix organizations and cross-functional environments

  • Experience in international business environments and working across cultures valued

  • Proven ability to influence and coordinate activities across teams without direct reporting relationships

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry knowledge of life sciences, pharmaceutical, or diagnostic markets preferred

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field

  • Additional relevant business education or certifications valued

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $118,100.00–$177,200.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
