Strategic Publisher Account Director

Pittsburgh, PA โ€ข On-site

Job description

Description: About numo

numo is a next-generation commerce media platform sitting at the intersection of fintech and adtech. Originally founded as Triple out of a fintech incubator run by PNC Bank, numo was built from day one to meet the rigorous standards of top-tier financial institutions — giving us the speed and conviction of a startup backed by the financial and operational support of a major bank.

We reimagined card-linked offers and built a trusted, secure, and flexible merchant-funded offers network. Today, as numo, we power a next-generation commerce media platform for an ecosystem of shoppers, retailers, and financial institutions — delivering real value to every stakeholder in the transaction.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, we pride ourselves on a vibrant culture and a dynamic environment for building the future of commerce media. If you like solving hard problems alongside great people, we want to talk to you.

About the Role

numo is looking for a Strategic Publisher Account Director to serve as a dedicated, strategic partner to our Publisher clients — the banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions that distribute numo's card-linked offer and rewards programs to their cardholders.

This role is best suited for someone who has successfully managed complex enterprise relationships before—not someone looking to learn enterprise account management for the first time.

This is not a transactional support role.. You'll serve as the executive relationship owner for a portfolio of some of the nation's largest financial institutions, partnering directly with senior leaders to drive business performance, strategic initiatives, and long-term growth. You're equally comfortable in a QBR with a bank's executive stakeholders and in a working session with numo's Product and Engineering teams — and you know how to move fluidly between the two so your accounts are always positioned to win.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for a portfolio of large enterprise financial institutions, building trusted partnerships with senior business and technology leaders while driving overall account strategy, performance, and growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, balancing strategic business objectives with technical platform capabilities to influence decisions and drive long-term partnership success.
  • Lead executive-level business reviews (QBRs), translating program performance data into a clear narrative and a set of prioritized, actionable recommendations.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives by bringing together executive stakeholders, product, engineering, operations, analytics, and commercial teams to resolve issues, deliver strategic initiatives, and ensure successful execution across multiple organizations.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts (new offer categories, program expansion, incremental placements) and build the business case to pursue them.
  • Proactively identify strategic, operational, and technical risks, driving resolution across both organizations before they impact client satisfaction or business performance.
  • Represent the voice of the Publisher internally, shaping roadmap and prioritization conversations with the perspective of the accounts you manage.
  • Manage day-to-day account operations — requests, escalations, reporting cadence — with the polish expected of a strategic partner, not a support desk.

What You'll Bring
  • 15+ years of enterprise account management, strategic relationship management, consulting, or client leadership experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex client relationships with minimal direction, balancing strategic business priorities, technical implementation, operational execution, and executive communications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise financial institutions or other highly regulated enterprise clients is required. Experience in fintech, payments, card-linked offers, or financial services is a strong plus, but not required.
  • A demonstrated ability to work across product, technology, and operations — you can hold your own in a technical conversation and translate it into a business one, and vice versa.
  • Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, including Executive Vice Presidents and C-suite leaders within large enterprise organizations.
  • Strong analytical instincts — comfortable working with performance data and dashboards to build a story and a recommendation, not just a report.
  • A track record of identifying and closing account growth opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to tailor a message to the room.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary + great benefits.
  • Passionate, driven team members.
  • Opportunity to own equity in this innovative product.
  • Dog-friendly workspace.
  • Subsidized lunches 4x/week.
  • Ability to work 4 days per week in our great Pittsburgh, PA office space in East Liberty and 1 day per week remotely.

Our Values
  • Bias towards action. Don't put off what you can progress today. Be scrappy. Make. Try. Prototype.
  • Foxhole. Have each other's backs. Assume the best and expect the best from each other. Give and accept respectful, honest, and candid feedback.
  • Consensify. Speak up. We value your mind. Share it. Reach consensus. Get on board.
  • Done done. Take pride in everything with your name or numo's name on it. Mistakes happen. Own them. Learn from them.
  • Be a good egg. Do the right thing — every time. Respect differences. Be inclusive. You're not too good for any of this.
