Summary
The Industrial Business Development Manager is accountable for creating long-term relationships with our customers.
The successful candidate will bring an existing network of customer relationships within the refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, and industrial services sectors. This individual is expected to leverage those relationships to identify opportunities, secure meetings, and accelerate revenue growth while expanding the Company's presence through new customer acquisition and strategic account development.
This role will team with Path's internal operations, safety, and technical teams to improve the entire customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serves as the lead point of contact for select customer account management matters
  • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Facilitates and supports negotiation of client contracts/agreements to deliver safe, profitable projects on time
  • Develop a trusted advisor role with key account stakeholders including operations, procurement, and HSE departments
  • Clearly communicates the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develops new business with existing clients and/or identifies areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Forecasts and tracks key account metrics (ex. Quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepares reports on account status
  • Collaborates with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Ensures timely and successful solutions delivery according to customer needs and objectives
  • Assists with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or relevant field preferred
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Account Executive, Key Account Manager, or relevant role.
  • Proven ability to bring an active network of customer contacts capable of producing new business within the first 6 - 12 months.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Experience selling tank cleaning industry services or industrial sector services

Position Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Willingness to travel to jobsites to meet with clients
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines for completion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods to internal and external customers.
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Must be detail and customer service oriented.
  • Understanding of tank cleaning industry/processes
  • Understanding of energy industry (upstream, midstream, and/or downstream) preferred
