An exciting opportunity for a Sales Account Executive to drive profitable sales growth within the U.S. flavor market.

This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while managing, expanding, and strengthening existing customer relationships.

The successful candidate will sell high-end technical solutions and specialty flavor chemicals to a diverse customer base, including top executives, R&D directors, flavorists, procurement and purchasing professionals, and other key decision-makers at multinational corporations, manufacturers, and small- to medium-sized companies.

This position requires a highly consultative approach to selling, strong technical and commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate a competitive marketplace with established vendors and price leaders. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing medium- to long-term sales cycles, developing strategic relationships, demonstrating value, and successfully closing opportunities.

  • Sell specialty flavor ingredients, flavor chemicals, and technical solutions through a consultative, value-based sales approach.
  • Understand customer challenges, technical requirements, commercial objectives, and business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Manage complex medium- to long-term sales cycles, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, closing, and ongoing account development.
  • Effectively position the companyโ€™s products and technical solutions against established suppliers, competitors, and price leaders by clearly communicating value and differentiation.
  • Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product demonstrations, business reviews, and commercial discussions.
  • Develop and execute account strategies designed to increase customer penetration, retention, and overall revenue.
  • Proactively prospect for new customers and markets through networking, referrals, industry research, trade shows, and other business development activities.
  • Prepare sales proposals, negotiate pricing and commercial agreements, overcome objections, and successfully close new business.
  • Partner with internal R&D, technical, regulatory, customer service, operations, and supply chain teams to develop and deliver customized customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, account plans, and opportunity tracking.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to product performance, quality, supply, service, and commercial matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging opportunities within the U.S. flavor industry.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and other promotional and networking events.
  • Travel throughout the U.S., up to 40%, to develop new business, support existing customers, conduct customer visits, and strengthen strategic relationships.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 4โ€“5 years of professional experience within the U.S. flavor industry is required.
  • Proven success selling high-end technical solutions, specialty flavor ingredients, flavor chemicals, or specialty chemicals in a competitive B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated success selling to top executives, R&D directors, flavorists, buyers, procurement professionals, and technical decision-makers within large corporations, manufacturers, and small- to medium-sized companies.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new customers, developing new opportunities, growing strategic accounts, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and close medium- to long-term sales cycles in a competitive marketplace.
  • Experience successfully competing against established vendors and price leaders through value-based and consultative selling.
  • Strong consultative selling, active listening, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to understand customer needs, ask effective discovery questions, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions that address both technical and commercial objectives.
