Business Development Executive Location: Andover Salary: Competitive – DOE Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Are you confident, commercially minded and enjoy building relationships over the phone? We're looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join a growing and ambitious business based at its Andover head office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys generating new opportunities, developing customer relationships and playing a key role in driving business growth. You'll be part of a busy Business Development team, taking ownership of outbound activity, qualifying leads, managing accounts and identifying opportunities to increase revenue. The role combines new business generation with account development and customer retention, so no two days will be quite the same. What you'll be doing: Making proactive outbound calls to new and existing customers Generating and qualifying leads and booking appointments for the wider sales team Managing your pipeline and keeping CRM records accurate and up to date Following up on quotations and progressing opportunities Developing and managing a portfolio of assigned customer accounts Building strong relationships to encourage customer retention and reactivation Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Supporting Regional Sales Managers with generating new opportunities Maintaining regular customer contact plans and activity reportingDriving revenue growth through proactive prospecting and account development What we're looking for: Previous experience within business development, sales, account management or a customer-focused commercial role Confidence making outbound calls and speaking with a wide range of customers A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to handle rejection and keep going Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Experience using a CRM system would be beneficial A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in identifying opportunities and growing accounts This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong customer base, where you'll have the chance to make a real impact on business growth and develop your career within a supportive sales environment.
