Company Overview: Our client is a growing transportation brokerage specializing in Dry Van transportation while also supporting Reefer, Oversized Freight, Over-Dimensional Shipments, Specialized Equipment, Bladders, and Multi-Modal transportation services. The organization is expanding its commercial team and seeking transportation professionals who can contribute to business growth, customer development, and operational execution.

Position Summary: The Customer Relationship Associate (CRA) is responsible for driving new business development, managing customer relationships, and delivering transportation solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives. This role combines brokerage sales, account management, and freight operations exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new freight opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships
  • Grow and manage an active portfolio of transportation accounts
  • Expand existing customer business through account development strategies
  • Coordinate FTL, Dry Van, Reefer, Drayage, Intermodal, Specialized, and Over-Dimensional freight
  • Develop freight pricing strategies balancing competitiveness and profitability
  • Collaborate with Carrier Development and Operations teams
  • Build and maintain strong carrier relationships
  • Resolve claims, service disruptions, and transportation challenges
  • Monitor transportation market trends and growth opportunities
  • Utilize TMS systems and maintain accurate account records

Requirements

  • 5+ years within a non-asset freight brokerage environment
  • Business development, account management, or transportation sales experience
  • Strong understanding of freight pricing and transportation execution
  • Knowledge of FTL, Dry Van, Reefer, Specialized Freight, Intermodal, and Over-Dimensional Freight
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office
