Job Summary (List Format):
- Enforce Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1/2.2, Level AA) compliance across all agency web properties.
- Serve as subject matter expert on Section 508 and WCAG compliance.
- Conduct regular accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing (keyboard navigation, screen readers).
- Audit, remediate, and catalog all public-facing digital media for accessibility.
- Convert non-compliant PDFs into accessible HTML or tagged PDFs.
- Ensure multimedia includes captions, descriptions, and transcripts.
- Write, edit, and optimize plain-language web content for veterans, simplifying complex benefits and processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to update and streamline digital content for multiple agency divisions.
- Administer and maintain agency Content Management System (CMS), ensuring consistent taxonomy, navigation, and mobile responsiveness.
- Enforce adherence to the State of Arizona Digital Style Guide and brand standards.
- Train internal content contributors on accessibility best practices.
- Create documentation and checklists to prevent accessibility errors.
