Job description

Overview

Project Manager – ADA Accessibility (State of Texas, Austin, TX) — Onsite position. Local to Texas only. Active Texas driver’s license and LinkedIn ID required for submission. No remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with ITS Leadership, Agency Digital Accessibility Coordinator, and team members to design and plan implementation of accessibility initiatives and projects to meet Federal, State, and agency requirements including DOJ ADA Title II.
  • Define the scope of work and needs for agency digital accessibility projects; document current and future state Digital Accessibility Program projects.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate Agency Digital Accessibility Program needs in partnership with ITS leadership, Business Analysts, and Digital Accessibility Coordinator.
  • Develop project proposals, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project cost estimates including scope, schedule, and budgets.
  • Monitor and track accessibility updates; communicate improvements internally and externally.
  • Create and present reports describing accessibility obstacles and recommendations to overcome them.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
  • Certification in Project Management by a recognized organization or Scrum Master is a plus.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • ADA Knowledge & Experience is required with any certification.
  • Previous experience with DFPS systems and programs is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Texas Administrative Code, Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), EIR Accessibility Policy, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, related to federal and state accessibility requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for accessibility services for digital content and Electronic Information Resources.
  • Minimum 14+ years of relevant experience (as applicable to profile requirements).
Requirements to Submit
  • Active Texas Driver’s License and LinkedIn ID must be provided for submission.
  • Candidate must already reside in Texas and be local to Texas; no out-of-state submissions for candidates planning to move.
  • Onsite assignment only; no remote work.
