Position Overview

Navigate Family & Youth Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in trauma-informed care to support clients in their journey toward recovery and resilience. As part of our telehealth platform, you will have the flexibility to provide high-quality mental health services from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and their families.

Work Environment

You will work flexible hours between 7 AM and 10 PM, seven days a week, allowing for work-life balance tailored to your personal preferences. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the trauma history of patients and to establish the most effective treatment approaches.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address trauma recovery while promoting resilience and coping strategies.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma and fostering healing.
  • Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies while ensuring they are aware of available resources.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards throughout your practice.
  • Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on the latest in trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed on advances in trauma therapy through continuous education and research.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and youth who have experienced trauma, their families, and couples seeking therapy. You will play a pivotal role in helping these individuals navigate their experiences and build resilience. As a provider of telehealth services, you will engage with a varied patient demographic, allowing you to apply your skills across a broader spectrum of emotional and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois.
  • Strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills paired with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-stress situations.
  • Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous post-licensure experience (at least 2 years) in a clinical counseling capacity, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.

  • Preference for candidates willing to provide services to couples, with onsite training available.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
