• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional states, documenting findings accurately.
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, targeting their unique needs and goals.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions using proven therapeutic techniques suitable for clients of all ages, addressing a diverse spectrum of mental health issues.
• Lead couples therapy sessions to strengthen relationship dynamics, focusing on communication skills, conflict resolution, and emotional engagement.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, assisting clients in managing acute distress or emergencies.
• Engage in regular professional development activities to stay informed about the latest therapies and interventions in the field.
• Maintain effective communication with clients' families and support systems to foster coordinated care.
• Support clients in accessing additional services, advocating for their rights and needs throughout the therapy process.
• Practise self-care and promote wellness activities to enhance personal resilience and avoid burnout.

You will work with a broad range of clients, including teenagers grappling with anxiety and depression, adults facing stressors related to life transitions, and couples seeking to improve their relationships. Your role is critical in navigating these complexities and fostering an environment conducive to healing and growth. Your empathetic approach will empower clients to take charge of their mental health and foster long-term wellbeing.

• Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Maryland is mandatory.
• Demonstrable experience in providing individual and couples therapy, showcasing an understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Ability to effectively use electronic health record systems for documentation and client management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with clients and stakeholders.

• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, particularly with diverse populations including children, teenagers, and adults.
• Experience conducting virtual therapy sessions and proficiency in maintaining client confidentiality in a remote setting.
• Prior involvement with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive mental health care.
