Job description

Contribute to innovative experience design that blends user needs with business goals in the fast-paced environment of financial services.

As an Experience Design Senior Associate on the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Payments team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our products and services by leveraging advanced experience design principles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative, inclusive, and accessible solutions for a diverse range of users. As a core contributor, you will align user needs with business goals, navigate complex problems, and drive strategic thinking. Your impact will be significant across the design, architecture, and functionality of our products-ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Job responsibilities

  • Design and develop smart interactions to solve specific user problems and ensure consistency across multiple products, platforms, and stakeholders while adhering to industry best practices.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of information architecture and storyboarding to create user-centric designs that enhance navigation, findability, and overall user satisfaction.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses to inform design decisions and create design strategies from research insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate inclusive design principles and accessibility guidelines, ensuring products and services cater to a diverse range of users.
  • Operate with an iterative design mindset; incorporate user feedback and insights to continuously improve the overall user experience.
  • Assist in analyzing market trends, user research studies, and user behavior analyses to inform design decisions and contribute to the team's strategic thinking.
  • Clearly communicate and present design work to stakeholders, executives, and internal teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a user experience design role focused on improving digital products and services.
  • Proven ability to create visually appealing and functional user experiences for prototyping and development using vibe coding and industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, VS Code, Copilot, Claude Code).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing user experiences across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and other digital channels.
  • Experience interpreting complex, ambiguous requirements and translating them into actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Proficient understanding of inclusive design principles, accessibility guidelines, and assistive technologies, with a track record of creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences.
  • Strong skills in wireframing, journey mapping, and prototyping.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with AI workflows for design and/or code-based prototyping (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, Figma Make).
  • Demonstrated experience with design-to-code workflows.
  • Experience implementing WCAG and ADA web standards in a regulated/compliant environment.
  • Experience facilitating collaborative activities, interviews, surveys, and usability test
