Job Overview
Requires certification / precertification of scheduled outpatient procedures to ensure no negative reimbursement to the hospital or penalty to the patient is incurred. Requires excellent communication, professional and courteous service with physician offices using the hospital for above procedures. Oversees work queues to make sure they are worked timely and notify Supervisor/Manager if there is an issue. Assist in training new employees.
Education and Experience
Completion of High School or GED is required. Two to four years' experience in a physician's office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing.
