Summary

The Access Control Technician will work with/under the supervision of the Access Control Supervisor or the Access Control Manager to install, troubleshoot and maintain all access functions and systems on casino operated properties. The technician will also be responsible for documenting and maintaining records for all functions performed in this role.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the protection of company assets through access control standards set by the department and casino.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality sharing information only with approved personnel.
  • Install, adjust, repair and maintain a variety of locking devices, including low voltage electrical hardware and all types of locks and locking mechanisms throughout assigned venues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory on all assets and systems pertaining to the job description.
  • Perform and document all preventative maintenance according to policy and procedure.
  • Assist and maintain Master Key Bitting arrays through the Master Key Systems program.
  • Assist with investigations within the scope of the position as needed.
  • Re-pin interchangeable cores and other locking mechanisms as needed.
  • Maintain all aspects of the Electronic Key control Systems including preventative maintenance and data entry to accomplish the highest level of Security standards.
  • Document all inventories, discrepancies, and/or preventative maintenance through assigned report writing system.
  • Repair and maintain combination locks to include changing codes as personnel and business needs dictate.
  • Duplicate and cut necessary keys to code and keeping an accurate inventory of a Master key Box/System.
  • Assist in analyzing and troubleshooting situations to establish appropriate action needed.
  • Assist with Hotel locking mechanisms/safes as required/requested.
  • Assist and complete work orders in a timely manner through the assigned system.
  • Ensure work areas are safe, clean and organized at all times.
  • Ensure all work/details performed are in accordance with policy, procedures, and TIC regulations.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Working alongside less experienced Access Control team members to assist and train them in proper task completion.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.


Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required. Excellent social and organizational skills.
  • One (1) year experience in SCR Security, I.T. or Facilities is preferred.
  • Must possess great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as the needs of the business dictate.
  • Familiar with Excel, Microsoft, and Outlook programs.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.


Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission License.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
