Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a skilled DCS Control Engineer to support the design, configuration, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Distributed Control Systems for industrial, chemical, semiconductor, and facility-related operations. This role is responsible for supporting control system architecture, controller configuration, HMI displays, system tags, alarms, historian data, communication interfaces, control logic, and commissioning activities for critical facility and process systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DCS platforms, preferably Emerson DeltaV, strong PLC integration knowledge, and the ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, loop drawings, and related engineering documentation to ensure system configurations align with process flow, safety requirements, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, build, and maintain DCS system architecture, including servers, controllers, EIOC, workstations, operator stations, and related system components

Design and develop HMI / operator graphic displays to support clear process visibility and operator response

Create, configure, and manage system tags in accordance with P&ID drawings, project standards, naming conventions, and operational requirements

Configure industrial communication protocols, including PLC communication, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, and related integration interfaces

Develop control logic using Emerson DeltaV function blocks and related control strategies

Implement sequence control, interlocks, timers, permissives, conditional logic, and process control functions to support safe and reliable system operation

Configure alarm strategies, including HI, HI-HI, A_ALM, B_ALM, and related alarm parameters

Implement alarm hysteresis, alarm suppression logic, and OPSUP logic to reduce nuisance alarms and improve operator response

Support loop checks, I/O checkout, system testing, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities

Provide on-site troubleshooting, maintenance support, and emergency response for DCS, PLC, communication, alarm, logic, and HMI-related issues

Configure historian / INSQL data points, records, trends, and reporting structures

Develop trend displays, dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to support operations and engineering teams

Integrate DCS platforms with PLCs, databases, historian systems, and external data systems as needed

Review and interpret P&ID drawings, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, and related engineering documentation

Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, commissioning, construction, vendors, and project teams to resolve technical issues and support project execution

Maintain accurate documentation, redlines, configuration records, test results, change logs, and system turnover documentation

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with DCS systems; Emerson DeltaV experience strongly preferred

Experience configuring servers, controllers, EIOC, HMI graphics, system tags, alarms, historian points, and control logic

PLC integration experience, including Ladder Logic and Function Block programming concepts

Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, PLC communication interfaces, and related network architecture
