The Director ofUSMarket Access Strategyis responsible fordeveloping and deploying brand and therapeutic area focusedmarketingcampaignsand tacticsfortheAstraZeneca'sU.S.Respiratory Biologics portfolio; FASENRA andalaunch candidate under evaluation -Tozorakimab.This roleworks closelywiththeaccessstrategyleadtodevelopa tactical plan supporting overall access strategiesandobjectives. This roleinvolves creating and refining access-related, customer-facing marketing materialssupporting tactical planin collaboration withmatrix and cross functional partnerssuch as brand marketing leads,HEOR, clinical, and account teams, across customers (payers, providers, channel/trade partners,specialtypharmacies (SPs)that result ina positivecustomer experience.This role will focus on in-marketandlaunch product marketing campaigns for multiple customer types.Additionalresponsibilities includemanaging budget and agency partners,conducting market research, collecting customer feedback from accountteamsand designing targeted marketing materials to address customer concerns andoptimizeaccessvia omni channel.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge and understanding of the clinical disease state to inform value strategy and access planning.
  • Leaddevelopment and management of the US managed care marketing plan for assigned productsin close collaboration with access strategy leads
  • Manage payer marketing budget,agencyand external vendors as necessary
  • Leaddevelopment of marketing programs,payer value narratives, Health System value narratives,ACDteamassets,fieldtoolsand resources. Engagemedical, legal,and regulatory reviewto driveapproval process,training,and roll out of approved materials to customerfacing account and field reimbursement teams
  • Evaluate and createomni channelmarketing campaigns tosupplementing traditionalaccessmarketing
  • LeadInsights, Analytics & Forecasting (IA&F)and matrix partners to conduct market research and message testing to ensure the effectiveness of marketing materialsand inform brand strategic decisions
  • Partner with Insights, Analytics & Forecasting (IA&F) to build data-driven customer value narratives based on account-specific engagements
  • Collaborateclosely withAccess Strategy Lead,HEOR, brand, clinical, and account teams to shape value messages and develop pre-approval information exchange (PIE) materials.
  • Engage filed teams (Account Directors, FRMs and Sales) to collect feedback on account insights, reimbursement challenges and office dynamics to continuously align marketing materials with customer need and strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with contract strategy to advance patient access and communicate brand access objectives while conserving gross-to-net (GTN)
  • Collaborate withmatrix partners with brand execution responsibilities to ensure activities are aligned to brand need
  • Ensurebrand access strategy and commercial leadership are kept up to date on shifting account and field challenges related to brand strategic priorities

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ yrs experience in one or a combination of: pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional or related industry experience
  • Including 3 yrs of Commercial experience
  • Understanding of the US market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals/healthcare industry required

Desirable Requirements, Skills and Capabilities

  • Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or Science
  • Demonstrated experience developing U.S. marketing materials
  • Ability toassessquantitative and qualitative analyses of complex strategic initiativesandinform strategic brand decisions
  • Ability to understand the business models, influence/impact, and decision drivers of U.S. commercial and government payers as well as channel customers (i.e., specialty pharmacy and distribution, home infusion, etc.)
  • Working understanding of reimbursement methodologiesutilizedby commercial and government payers under the medical and pharmacy benefits
  • Demonstrated ability towork cross functionallyin a matrixenvironmenteffectivelyandcommunicate complex business challenges and data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
  • Experience reviewing marketing materials with medical, legal, and regulatory review committeesandoperatingat pace in process-driven promotional environments
  • Up to10%U.S. domestictravelasrequired
  • Respiratory Biologics or other Biologics experience
  • Launchmanagement andmarketing experience
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess and drive results
  • Strong communication, presentation, collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to successfully lead through change, complexity and ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment

The annual base pay for this position ranges from 1$93,898.40 - 290,847.60 USD Annual. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles),to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).

Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
