Job description

Custom Software Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; Chicago, IL): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Custom Software Engineering Manager in Chicago, IL, and the job duties are as follows:
  • Design, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications.
  • Create implementation or integration approach for applications and components.
  • Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications.
  • Architect development strategy for applications and components.
  • Coordinate development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones.
  • Build deployment plan, including the development plan and schedule, keeping in line with overall project timeline.
  • Design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements.
  • Team with stakeholders on application and component design to secure buy in.
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.
Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing, developing, and supporting front-end web applications, RESTful APIs, and database components adhering to SDLC best practices;
  • Utilizing DevOps and Agile methodology;
  • Coding and deploying applications utilizing DevOps tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, or Maven;
  • Developing and maintaining applications utilizing Java Enterprise Edition, jQuery, Spring Boot, Microservices, JavaScript, and JSON;
  • Working with SQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or IBM DB2;
  • Driving key delivery orchestration design decisions and suggesting improvements for ongoing issues;
  • Creating technical designs for multi-tiered web applications; and
  • Working in cloud-native development and utilizing cloud technologies, including AWS.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
