We are seeking passionate high school teachers for our Summer School Program - a one-month accelerated learning opportunity during June focused on helping students strengthen skills, improve academic retention, and achieve academic success.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Summer school teachers are responsible for delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction in an accelerated setting that supports student growth and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Learning
  • Deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in an accelerated format
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Use instructional technology and effective teaching strategies to support learning
Classroom Environment
  • Maintain a structured, respectful, and academically focused classroom
  • Establish clear expectations and effective classroom management practices
  • Encourage student engagement, responsibility, and perseverance
Professional Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate student records and attendance
  • Collaborate with administrators and staff to support student success
  • Uphold school policies and professional expectations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Meet professional teacher education requirements of school and state
  • Single subject teaching credential, certification or endorsement if teaching a specialized subject
  • Relevant teaching experience
  • Knowledge of relevant technology
  • IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
