Job description

Pay: classified paraprofessional sub rate per hour (list rate)

Start Date: 8/28/2026 or as soon as the position is filled

Work Conditions / Schedule:

  • Position will occur before/after school
  • This is a temporary/limited-duration position tied to completion of compensatory service hours, about 160
  • May include up to 8 hours per week after school and Fridays until the end of theย services

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Provide targeted and individualized instruction in reading, mathematics, and writing
  • Deliver instruction in individual and/or small group setting
  • Implement lessons designed to accelerate skill development and close learning gaps
  • Maintain accurate service logs including dates, times, and instructional focus
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with supervising staff
  • Collaborate with special education staff to ensure alignment with the student's plan

Requirements:

  • Must have passed the ACT WorkKeys examination (or an equivalent assessment demonstrating highly qualified status)
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationship with students and other staff
