Accelerate Clinical Facilitator - Per Diem โ€“ Obstetrics Position Overview

The Accelerate Clinical Facilitator (Per Diem) โ€“ Obstetrics is responsible for delivering simulation-based education programs that enhance the readiness, confidence, and clinical performance of obstetric teams across North America. Serving as both a clinical expert and educator, this role facilitates immersive learning experiences focused on improving team communication, clinical competency, and patient outcomes during high-risk, low-frequency maternal and neonatal emergencies.

This is an on-demand, per diem position supporting customer engagements as business needs arise. Assignments may include onsite simulation programs, implementation support, educational consultations, and clinical training events throughout the United States and Canada.

Assignments may include single-day educational programs, multi-day implementation engagements, program consultations, and clinical simulation events delivered onsite at customer locations throughout the UnitedStates and Canada.

Accelerate facilitators serve as trusted clinical consultants, partnering with healthcare leaders to build sustainable cultures of safety, readiness, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Simulation Facilitation & Educational Delivery
  • Facilitate simulation-based learning experiences for interdisciplinary obstetric teams.
  • Lead structured debriefings that promote reflection, clinical reasoning, and performance improvement.
  • Deliver Accelerate educational programs in accordance with established clinical and educational standards.
  • Adapt program delivery to meet customer goals, learning needs, and organizational priorities.
Clinical Expertise & Customer Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted educational consultant to physicians, nurses, educators, and healthcare leaders.
  • Promote evidence-based practice through realistic simulation scenarios and facilitated discussion.
  • Evaluate learner performance and provide coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and psychologically secure learning environment.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with Accelerate operations, clinical faculty, and customer success teams to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing faculty development, continuing education, and facilitator calibration activities.
  • Represent Accelerate professionally while fostering strong customer relationships and service excellence.
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate must be located in the Midwest region (preferably Indiana) or Arizona
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, or another healthcare-related discipline required.
  • Current unrestricted clinical licensure appropriate to profession.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery, Women's Services, or Obstetric clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing obstetric emergencies.
  • Experience educating adult learners in clinical environments.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer engagements with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada(approximately 70โ€“100%, based on facilitator availability and customer demand). Overnight and occasional weekend travel required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while facilitating educational programs.
  • Ability to lift and transport simulation equipment up to 35 lb
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher.
  • RNC-OB, C-EFM, ALSO, CHSE, or other relevant specialty certifications.
  • Experience leading obstetric simulation programs and simulation debriefings.
  • Maternal quality improvement experience.
  • Experience implementing interdisciplinary education initiatives.
  • Experience working within academic medical centers or large health systems.
Simulation Experience Preferred
  • High-fidelity and in situ simulation.
  • Structured debriefing methodologies.
  • TeamSTEPPS or similar teamwork frameworks.
  • Competency-based education and adult learning principles.
  • Creating psychologically safe learning environments.
Daily Rate:

$600/daily rate. All travel expenses (flights, meals, accommodations, transportation, etc.) eligible for reimbursement
