Job Description

The University of Oklahoma Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Academic Rheumatologist to join our expanding Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy Medicine Division. This is a full-time faculty role at a major academic medical center, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality outpatient care while contributing to resident education, quality initiatives, and scholarly work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct outpatient rheumatology care in a multi-specialty clinic.
  • Working with fellows and residents, provide up to 3 months inpatient rheumatology attending consult coverage in 2-week intervals. We serve only as consultants, not the admitting team.
  • Supervise and mentor Internal Medicine residents and rheumatology fellows in outpatient and inpatient rheumatology care.
  • Engage in departmental quality improvement initiatives and attend faculty meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neonatology through ongoing education and research

Schedule & Coverage

  • Model: Monday -Friday
  • Clinic 8a-12p and 1-5p or 8a-3pm.

Position Highlights

  • 505-bed tertiary care academic hospital.
  • Candidates are eligible for faculty appointments with the OU College of Medicine, Department of Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with academic experience and accomplishments. Faculty pathways include Academic Physician, Clinician Educator, and Clinician Investigator, depending on scholarship focus.
