Job description

Saint Lukes Physician Group is seeking a BC/BE MSK radiologist for a full-time faculty appointment within our subspecialty radiology practice at Saint Lukes in Kansas City, MO.

About the position:

  • Our MSK radiology section is a friendly, hardworking, and cohesive group that values excellent patient care and strong worklife balance.
  • We serve patients across the greater Kansas City region and partner with a broad network of referring cliniciansincluding major orthopedic and sports medicine groups, high-volume primary care and rheumatology practices, and 11 emergency departments and inpatient servicesgiving the team a wide and meaningful clinical footprint.
  • Responsibilities include interpreting a full spectrum of MSK imaging: radiographs, ultrasound, nuclear medicine (bone scans), CT, and MRI. We are also one of the few practices in the region offering a broad range of diagnostic MSK ultrasound exams.
  • We perform a variety of image-guided procedures using fluoroscopy and ultrasound, including arthrograms, joint aspirations, and soft-tissue or intra-articular injections.
  • Work daytime shifts will focus heavily on MSK imaging.
  • Optional reading of general thoracic, abdominal, or neuro studies depending on comfortno breast imaging required.
  • After-hours coverage is provided by an independent teleradiology group (after 5 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends), so no evening or overnight shifts are required.
  • Enjoy access to modern imaging technology across all modalities, including radiography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, GE and Philips MRI systems (five total, including a 3T magnet), and advanced GE and Siemens CT platforms.
  • Academic appointment through the University of MissouriKansas City (UMKC). Teaching is expected; research opportunities are readily available.
