We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic After-School Program Assistant to Providing students with a safe, caring and educational environment for children  in which to complete their homework and receive help on homework; and, to provide enrichment opportunities for students in the form of creative projects, games, etc.
Their role primarily involves assisting in the planning and implementation of activities that take place in the after-school program.
Responsibilities include supervising and guiding children, assisting with homework, planning and implementing educational activities, and communicating effectively with parents and school staff.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Ensures the safety and well-being of students after school hours 
Supports delivery of the School’s academic programs when assisting with homework 
Controls student behavior in a fair and consistent manner. 
Maintains log of students enrolled in the program 
Communicates effectively with the After-School Program Director and Operations Manager as needed 
Assist in planning and implementing daily after-school program activities
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
Maintain a safe and positive environment for the children
Help with homework and tutoring as needed
distribute snacks or meals
Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility
Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, daily attendance, and timesheet
Adhere to all program policies and procedures while upholding the code of conduct
  • engage with children through various activities like helping with homework, implementing arts and crafts projects, facilitating games and physical activities, and promoting positive social interactions.
