What is an academic manager?

Academic Managers are education professionals responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs within a school, college, or training institution. They ensure that curricula meet educational standards, manage teaching staff, and monitor student progress. Academic Managers also coordinate resources, develop academic policies, and may be involved in teacher recruitment and training. Their role is crucial in maintaining the quality of education and supporting both staff and students.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an academic manager?

To thrive as an Academic Manager, you need a strong background in educational administration, curriculum development, and usually a relevant degree such as a Master's in Education. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), data analysis tools, and accreditation standards is often required.
