Job description

PCG is looking for an Emerging Technology Specialist for its' Corporate location in Lenexa, KS. Situated within the Strategic Development and Marketing (SDM) department at PCG, the Technical Training team is responsible for building the organizationโ€™s capacity to effectively use both current and emerging technologies. The Emerging Technology Specialist focuses onย AI, automation, and future-facing tools, ensuring the organization develops the skills, confidence, and governance needed to innovate responsibly.

This role leads AI and emerging technology enablement programs, translating rapidly evolving tools into practical, ethical, and business-relevant use cases. The Emerging Technology Specialist works closely with leadership, security, and business stakeholders to balance experimentation with structure โ€” enabling innovation without introducing unnecessary risk.

Core Responsibilities โ€“ The right person is able to:
  • Design and deliver enablement programs focused on AI, automation, and emerging technologies embedded in the organizationโ€™s environment
  • Build foundational AI literacy across the organization, with tailored pathways for different roles and maturity levels
  • Translate emerging technology capabilities into practical, operational use cases that align with business goals
  • Partner with leadership, security, and compliance teams to ensure responsible and secure use of emerging technologies
  • Support experimentation, pilots, and proof-of-value efforts while maintaining clarity around guardrails and expectations
  • Develop guidance, frameworks, and best practices for using AI and automation tools effectively
  • Contribute to enterprise adoption initiatives by embedding emerging technology considerations into broader rollout plans
  • Support ERP and existing systems as needed through collaborative team processes
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, vendor roadmaps, and evolving capabilities to inform enablement strategy
  • Facilitate workshops, labs, and forums that encourage hands-on learning and critical thinking about new technologies
  • Model best practices in Information Security, ethical technology use, and data stewardship
Basic Requirements
  • College degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Business, Data, Information Technology or a related field preferred
  • 3โ€“5 years of experience working with or enabling technology solutions, digital transformation, or innovation programs
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and translate them for others
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% annually
  • Able to work on-site full-time (1 day/week remote after 90 days)
