BIOSPECTRA SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

BioSpectra is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to join BioSpectra’s growing Human Resources team to assist in achieving organizational effectiveness, acquiring and developing exceptional talent and driving organizational performance excellence.

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition: Co-develop hiring strategies with hiring managers; source, recruit, coordinate scheduling, facilitate selection and candidate offers to qualified candidates. Lead BioSpectra's college recruiting and intern program, as well as leading BioSpectra's talent acquisition strategies to promote BioSpectra as an employer of choice.


HR Policy Management, Administration, Corrective Action & Investigations: Leads and develops BioSpectra’s HR compliance, corrective action & respectful workplace programs. This includes the development and communication of policies, oversight of absence management activities and conducting investigations as appropriate.


Absence Management Program: Manage the Absence Management Program by monitoring company-wide employee absenteeism, coaching managers and employees, implementing corrective action solutions and absence reporting as required.


HR Business Partner Support: Provide consulting and guidance to managers regarding building the capabilities of their team, as well as HR issues related to compensation, managing performance issues, corrective actions, and candidate selection.


Performance Review Program Training & Coaching: Lead BioSpectra’s performance management program by ensuring that all managers are effectively trained, have the appropriate performance tools and perform appropriate performance feedback. Oversees quality of job descriptions to ensure they provide clear communication regarding employee performance expectations. Leads BioSpectra initiatives to implement electronic and automated online performance review platform.


Compensation Administration: Administer BioSpectra’s compensation program for non-exempt employees in all non-administrative departments. Support BioSpectra’s annual compensation and rewards program.


Employee Engagement, Turnover Reduction Program: Lead BioSpectra’s employee engagement and employee turnover reduction program by conducting turnover analysis, employee engagement surveys and working with managers to drive actions that improve employee engagement, satisfaction and reduce employee turnover.


Employee Development & Training: Support BioSpectra’ s employee development programs. Employee development includes new employee on-boarding, co-development of BioSpectra’s employee essentials training and partnering with management to implement development of targeted individuals. Support management development being a back-up to deliver training as needed on such topics as performance reviews, interview skills, performance coaching, dealing with conflict, planning & execution, and building effective teams.

Qualifications:

• The following qualifications are required:

---- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.

---- Minimum of five or more years of human resource management experience ideally in a manufacturing setting with a working knowledge of employment law, compensation, employee relations and performance management.


• The ideal candidate will have the following experience or attributes:

---- Working knowledge of practices and experience in a chemical/materials manufacturing environment;

---- Highly accountable, self-motivated, and works autonomously with the ability to be decisive and develop/implement creative solutions to challenging issues;

---- Effective leader who can communicate and connect with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization;

---- Effective at thinking critically and make effective decisions;

---- Effective at planning and managing their time;

---- Trustworthy in handling confidential information;

---- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;

---- HR certifications such as PHR, or SHRM-CP;


This position requires occasional travel to and working from other BioSpectra facilities in northeastern Pennsylvania and Toronto Canada, as well as occasional off-shift work, as needed to provide HR support to off-shift staff.
