Job description

For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. ABC is located next to Grays Woods Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. Currently, we have around 16 full-time and four part-time staff members, most of whom have been with ABC for at least five years or more. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment for our toddlers. This full-time position would be Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30 with a one-hour break.
Responsibilities include
  • Implementing our toddler curriculum
  • Creating creative lesson plans based on the approved curriculum
  • Communicating daily with parents
  • Maintaining a neat, organized classroom
  • Providing a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your care
  • Ability to work independently and within our team

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age with a college degree or CDA.
  • At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, both written and verbally
  • Have, or be willing to get, required clearances
  • Have, or be willing to get, a physical with TB test
