PROPERTY OVERVIEW

Industry City, a six million square foot campus with 16 buildings on 35 acres, is the largest private adaptive reuse project in North America. The owners, a group that together has developed tens of millions of square feet world-wide, including the iconic Chelsea Market, has to date invested more than $400mm dollars in the project. Industry City is home to 500+ companies including Conde Nast, The Brooklyn Nets, Essence Magazine, Moda Operandi, AECOM, Gap, NYU Hospitals, Publicis, Design Within Reach, Restoration Hardware, and ABC Carpet & Home, to name a few.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tour prospective tenants and work with existing tenants to expand their footprint within Industry City. 
  • Negotiate lease terms. 
  • Prepare letters of intent and lease documents for renewals, expansions, and prospective tenants. 
  • Work with existing tenants on renewals, facilitating a low turnover rate. 
  • Lease administration. 
  • Canvas and develop outreach campaigns for prospective tenants. 
  • Track currently available spaces, near term availabilities, lease expirations, prospective tenant inquiries and conversion rates. 
  • Collect market data on competing product. 
  • Monitor online search and advertising programs. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 


EDUCATION AND EXPERTIENCE

  • Bachelor’s level degree and
  • 1-3 Years of experience in Real Estate on leasing, research, or paralegal level, or
  • Any other combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. 


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Real Estate preferred. 
  • Knowledge of leasing documents preferred.
  • Comfortable with MS Office & Outlook.
  • Knowledge of basic property management tools and skills preferred.
  • Negotiation, contract administration, and communications.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; maintain professional composure & effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
