AAP Analyst II- THIS IS A TEMP ROLE EXPECTED TO LAST FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS

This role is designed to support firm attorneys and our clients in areas of government mandate employment and labor reporting. Incumbent will work with clients to request large sets of relevant data, clean this data to prepare for analysis, analyze data to look for insights and / or prepare data for reporting to government agencies and/or back to client. The incumbent will work closely with other analysts as well as attorneys who will guide work and review output.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze employment-related data sets using industry standard data analysis tools and applications like R and MS Excel.
  • Compile and validate employment-related data from various sources, workbooks, and spreadsheets as provided by clients and attorneys
  • Analyze and ensure data is of high quality and thoroughness, running data cleaning methods and tests and working directly with clients as needed to obtain corrected data
  • Following prescribed internal guidelines and methods, use cleaned data to create government required workforce reporting across federal, state and/or local levels. Examples may include but are not limited to EEO-1, VETS, California Pay, Minnesota Department of Human Rights reporting, etc.
  • Support attorneys in the preparation and defense of government-required reporting that may become subject to government audit
  • Research data sources as applicable to project needs (e.g., U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics)
  • Preparead hocreports, graphics, and presentations to address client needs
  • Communicate daily with clients and attorneys

Skills and Educational Requirements

Required

  • BS/BA or equivalent
  • 2+ years' experience with human capital data and government-mandated reporting of same
  • Strong MS excel skills to include pivot tables, reference and lookup formulae, graphing, table management and limited VBA for Excel
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to apply practical knowledge to job by to following general instructions and guidelines
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision, influence others within the department through explanation of facts, policies and practices
  • High degree of personal accountability for results
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime as necessary

Preferred

  • Experience with programming languages and data manipulation tools such as Stata, R or Python
  • Background in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
  • Background in Human Resources data
  • Knowledge government required workforce and labor reporting
  • Experience in analyzing and reconciling large data sets

For Colorado, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $35.20 hourly and$40.50 hourly. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
