The Business Development Team oversees the quality of all sales of our products and services that our organization offers. The Business Development Consultant responsibilities include identifying areas of opportunity to help support and grow our sales and services. Liaison duties to work across departments in support of sales teams from multiple channels. Assist in troubleshooting team member issues with our systems in order to help them have a successful close. Work with multiple teams in order to ensure our sales meet our organization’s sales goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Support the incremental sales growth of all sales and services within our organization. Check in with sales operations for pending cancellations. Check sales metrics for further sales opportunities and coach for performance to include individual and indirect sales channel performance. Review the business consultant inbox for announcements from marketing and other departments. Provide support to all indirect sales channels to include retail, call centers, etc. Answer product and service questions, provide resources, and troubleshoot systems. Provide one on one assistance to team members and leaders. Implement business plans and strategies within assigned regions. Travel to retail locations to support sales and service, depending on the needs of the business.
  • Sales training and development in a variety of settings, including indirect sales channel & retail locations, trending areas of opportunity, virtual training and in person training with the Learning & Development team. Regional training and development for all AAA Mountain West Group owned and operated sales channels and Partner Club(s) footprint. Deliver drop-in training sessions for specific product launch or other business needs.
  • Cross collaboration and coordination with other departments and areas to drive sales. Collaborate with Field Operations to reduce projects that cannot be completed or must be canceled. Set up and coordinate trade shows. Create and track sales contests. Coordinate marketing supplies and apparel. Participate in regional call support


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Thorough understanding of Salesforce, or similar Customer Relation Management system
  • Ability to provide outstanding service to both internal Team Members and external Members
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy despite fast turnarounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals
  • Reliable, dependable and trustworthy

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Minimum Requirements
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Valid drivers license
    • 2-4 year’s experience in sales or business development
    • 2-4 year’s experience selling smart home products
  • Preferred Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 70% of work time is conducted in an office setting, 30% spent travel
  • Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
  • Must be able to understand and follow complex instructions

We target between minimum and midpoint of the range, and all offers are subject to a fair pay analysis - Compensation Range: Min: $76,657.00 - Mid: $95,820.00
