Job description

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2304
$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with shift times of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule is made in 4-week increments
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1 holiday shift expected per contract
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity
• 17-bed ICU unit
• Manage a variety of patient types including general (sepsis, ETOH, IVDA, OD, SI, delirium, GI bleeds, strokes with TPA, ARF, DKA), surgical (general, open abdominal, ortho, ENT, OBGYN), and cardiac/vascular (fempops, CABG, EVAR, valves, post cath, AAA, amputations)
• Required skills include vent/trach management, invasive line management (art lines, CVP, Swan-Ganz), drains, chest tubes, foley management, post-surgical recovery, post-cath experience, CVVH, and CRRT
• Preferred skills include cardiovascular and CV surgery experience, IABPs, and Impellas
• EMR system: EPIC experience preferred
• IV Pump: Alaris; Med dispensing: Pyxis; Unit specific equipment: NxStage CRRT
• May float within scope of practice to intermediate units (1:3), MSU, ED Boarding (1:4), and Observation units (1:4); travelers are first to float
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred
• Scrub color: Any color; no camo, graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available
• More than 2 sick calls will prompt a discussion and possible contract termination
Facility:
This facility is a 136-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II NICU, as well as a designated Primary Stroke Center. The ICU unit provides comprehensive critical care with robust departmental support including CNAs, a charge nurse, ICU supervisor, phlebotomy services, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage available 24/7, along with an ICU-specific pharmacist during daytime hours.
