Manager of Lower School After School ProgramsWhat You'll DoCreate a Safe, Fun, Engaging Environment

You'll be the caring adult presence that makes ASAP a place where students feel welcomed, valued, and free to play and explore.

  • Supervise students during free play, organized activities, outdoor time, and enrichment programs
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels they belong
  • Enforce ASAP rules respectfully and consistently to maintain a safe, positive environment for all students
  • Engage actively with students - play games, facilitate activities, have conversations, and build relationships
  • Support students' social-emotional needs - help resolve conflicts, encourage kindness, and model positive behavior
Facilitate Activities & Enrichment

You'll help bring ASAP's daily programming to life - from outdoor games to creative projects to enrichment classes.

  • Set up, implement, and clean up indoor and outdoor activities
  • Participate actively in ASAP activities - you're not just watching; you're playing, creating, and engaging alongside students
  • Support enrichment programming by transporting students to classes, monitoring sign-ins, and ensuring smooth transitions
  • Be flexible in your assignments - some days you'll be on the playground, other days helping with arts and crafts or monitoring homework time
Provide Logistical & Administrative Support

You'll help keep ASAP running smoothly through daily operational tasks.

  • Check in students as they arrive from the school day
  • Handle carpool and walk-out procedures, ensuring students get home safely
  • Monitor late pick-ups and provide care for students waiting for families
  • Answer phones and communicate with parents as needed
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and clock in/out daily
  • Coordinate with ASAP leadership regarding student concerns, behavior issues, or family communication needs
Collaborate & Grow

You'll be part of a supportive team committed to providing excellent care for Lovett students.

  • Attend staff training to learn ASAP procedures, child safety protocols, and activity planning
  • Participate in staff meetings to collaborate on programming and problem-solve together
  • Communicate openly with colleagues and supervisors about student needs and program improvements
Who You Are

You bring:

  • At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in any capacity (childcare, teaching, coaching, camp counseling, babysitting, etc.)
  • Reliability and punctuality - you show up on time, every time, ready to work
  • Strong communication skills - you can talk with children, parents, and colleagues clearly and respectfully
  • Ability to enforce rules with kindness - you're firm but warm, maintaining boundaries while building trust
