Medical Director/Primary Care Physician

Our client in Central Florida currently has a long term opportunity for a Medical Director or Primary Care Physician. The current practice is being purchased for June 1st start; model is changing to the CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) reference.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with Board certification. It is preferred, but not required that applicant be dually board certified in either, family or internal medicine, as well as integrative medicine.
  • MBA or business degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience practicing medicine in an integrative concierge practice setting
  • One year minimum experience Bio Identical Hormone Therapy and IV nutritional therapies including but not limited to High Dose Vitamin C, Chelation and Myers Cocktail.
  • Experience leading a practice as a medical director to improve measurable outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to promote clinical collaboration to achieve common goals
  • Florida licensed physician with conventional credentials to work as Medical director in a collaborative provider-patient relationship, with an emphasis on preventive care and wellness. Must live in central FL.
  • A4M certification a plus
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills
  • ABIHM Certified Integrative Holistic Physicians or Board certification from the American Board of Integrative Medicine® (ABOIM®) a plus
  • Experience in industry with responsibility for a customer relationship (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in service and product development and/or healthcare innovation (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in practice operations, design, and process improvement (preferred)

Practice Details:

  • 8 hours per week ideal; minimum 8 hours per month to start
  • Management and ongoing development of the company's medical management programs and products, as well as oversight of AHIH's clinical service operations.  The right candidate will be instrumental in future health centers.
  • Processes and organizes patient paperwork; reviews medical charts for accuracy and compliance;
  • Member of the Commercialization Team
  • The Medical Director will lead the design, implementation, and operations of worksite health centers and wellness services. The Medical Director will be the P&L owner for our book of business of worksite solutions. In collaboration with key members of the commercialization team, the Medical Director will influence service and product development and participate in sales and marketing activities. The Medical Director is a highly visible leader within Arlington Hope Enterprises developing best practices for primary care that will be deployed across the system.
    • Innovate Care Models – The Medical Director will design the “clinical playbook” for worksite health solutions, including care models, types of staff roles, staffing ratios, programs, policies, procedures, and any other requirements to deliver the outcomes promised to customers. This playbook will include alternative models based upon characteristics of key segments of the market. The playbook will be continuously improved based upon learning from each customer deployment.
    • Oversee Health Center Operations – The Medical Director, supported by an operations team, will oversee operations for all worksite health centers and wellness services. The lead physician at each health center will report directly to her/him. In addition, the Medical Director will lead a governance process to ensure that AHE delivers the outcomes committed to customers, including regular reports to Senior Management.
    • Support Product Innovation – In collaboration with service and product leadership, the Medical Director will ensure that AHE's worksite and wellness offerings are regarded as the market leaders in each service and product categories.
    • Support Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service – The Medical Director will collaborate with sales leadership to grow the number of employer customers in our worksite solutions and wellness services book of business. A significant portion of the Medical Director's time will be devoted to attending regular customer meetings to explain the value AHE is delivering.
    • Deploy Best Practices – An additional goal of the commercialization strategy is to create a laboratory to test innovative concepts in primary care. As these tests yield best practices, the Medical Director will work collaboratively with AHE leadership to determine how to deploy these practices, influencing primary care and wellness across the Enterprise.
