ABOUT THE JOB

The Technical Operations Trainer is a senior individual contributor responsible for building technical capability across the organization. You will combine deep technical knowledge with instructional expertise to own major training initiatives within the business line. This role requires the drive to rapidly learn new systems and translate complex technical concepts into scalable learning solutions that accelerate workforce readiness

  • Training Authority: You are recognized as the subject matter expert for training strategy; teams rely on your instructional frameworks and learning artifacts
  • Rapid Learning Mastery: You consistently demonstrate the ability to quickly become proficient in new products and systems, developing training content that meets operational needs
  • Content Adoption: Training materials, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides you develop are adopted across multiple teams and become standard references

Technical Mastery & Continuous Learning

  • Deep Technical Knowledge: Maintain expertise across hardware, software, networking, and operational procedures to deliver credible, field‑informed training

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in technical field operations, deployed software engineering, or technical hands‑on operational roles
  • Proven track record of becoming a Subject Matter Expert on a system and sharing that knowledge with others
  • Comfortable delivering training to groups and individuals at varying skill levels
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to rapidly learn complex technical systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally for training delivery and field support
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance and support operations involving sensitive materials
  • Ability to support the handling and working with munitions
  • Ability to meet health and medical requirements in advance of deployments in accordance with DFARS 252.225-7040, DoDI 3020.41, and/or any additional requirements outlined by region or supporting force, as applicable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Technology or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with defense systems, autonomous platforms, or complex hardware/software integration
  • Experience establishing training standards, certification programs, or competency frameworks
  • Prior military instructor experience or equivalent technical training roles
  • Strong instructional design skills with ability to create engaging, effective learning experiences for diverse audiences
  • Experience as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer

US Salary Range: $132,000 — $198,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full‑time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
