Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Tube Bander is responsible for safely and accurately banding bundles of tubing coming off the mill line. This includes placing protective boards, tightening bands, installing seals, and applying identification tags to each bundle. While the Tube Bander is considered a secondary role, the Mill Bander performs similar tasks directly on the mill lines and is essential to efficient operation and flow. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Key duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Securely band tubing bundles to specification
  • Place protective boards around bundles before banding
  • Cut banding to length and install seals
  • Complete and applyaccuratebundle tags
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including use of squeegee to clear water from floors
  • Assistin mill changeover procedures
  • Separate, carry, and organize boards used during the bundling process
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Basic math skills foraccuratetagging and measurement
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and dependable with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Regular exposure to wet floors and loud machinery
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40lbs
  • Standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods
  • Mustwear required PPE and follow all safety procedures
