Job Summary:
The purpose of this job is to provide leadership, planning, and coordination for all project activities, ensuring that the project's scope, schedule, budget, and risks are effectively managed. The role involves maintaining strong vendor relationships, fostering communication among stakeholders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, the position aims to align the project with Cooper's strategic vision, promote the value of project management, and cultivate an innovative and respectful work environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Provides the project team with advanced leadership, planning, and coordination for high-impact and cross-functional initiatives
  • Leads the definition and governance of scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risks for complex projects or programs
  • Develops strategic vendor partnerships in collaboration with Global Sourcing
  • Serves as a key liaison between Sr. Management, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization
  • Partners with regulatory and QA to ensure full compliance integration throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentors team members and leads a high-performance culture
  • Develops and sustains long-term customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and business alignment
  • Aligns and delivers program outcomes with Cooper's long-term strategy, vision, and goals
  • Demonstrates mature leadership style that resonates with a range of stakeholders
  • Works with Project Managers to ensure the true cost benefits are known, presented, and managed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Elevates project management maturity by influencing best practices and adoption of PMO tools (dashboards, EOM, 4-blockers, others)
  • Generates and maintains overall resource plan enabling optimum use of GTIG resources across the project portfolio reflecting business priorities
  • Leads Project reporting forums for GTIG
  • Supports GTIG's strategic planning (VMOST)
  • Supports project prioritization alignment with GTIG and OLT strategic process
  • Supports GTIG's Finance and HR Cycles

General Functions:
Travel:
Travel will be based on project requirements and will typically include up to 25% travel to CooperVision sites and vendors within the UK, Europe and internationally. There may be projects where more frequent travel (up to 50%) is required for a defined period

Experience:
  • 7+ years in Project Management
  • 7+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical industry

Education:
  • B.S. in Engineering Discipline, or equivalent technical experience
  • Certification from a worldwide recognized organization (PMI, APM, Prince, etc.) or graduate studies in PM is a plus
