Job description

Overview Tecolote is a trusted independent advisor providing consulting, analytics, and digital solutions to senior leadership and Federal government executives supporting the National Security mission. As an Analyst, you will be the go-to person for support of large-scale DoD acquisition programs. Responsibilities Specific tasks include: * Facilitating the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Executing (PPBE) process. * Developing and maintaining program acquisition documentation and program schedules. * Performing analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs. * Managing all project funds and ensuring funding obligation goals are met. * Providing advice on financial analysis issues, concerns, and special projects. * Coordinating, negotiating, and resolving financial compliance issues with various governmental agencies to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements. * Preparing Information Papers in response to Congressional inquiries or funding cuts. * Monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met. * Interfacing with management, responding to their requests for financial data. * Resolving reporting and compliance issues. * Interfacing with the Government Program Manager supporting all tasks and subtasks for program direction. * Effectively communicating and coordinating with the military leadership, US Government customers, and Contractors. * Planning and assisting major system life cycle support tasks/functions including requirements definition, acquisition, integration, test and evaluation, fielding/installation, and disposition. * Establishing and/or maintaining a risk management plan for the program. * Participating in weekly project meetings to review project progress and issues. * Salary Range: $55,000 - $130,000/Year, DOE Skills Required * U.S. Citizenship (required). * Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (required). * Excellent qualitative, quantitative, analytical, and communication skills. * Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition policies (required). * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to include the ability to produce graphs and tables, pivot tables, use spreadsheets efficiently, and perform calculations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and PowerPoint. * Experience developing P&R Forms for large acquisition programs (desirable). * Experience with producing Milestone acquisition documentation (desirable). * Experience with Government tools and systems such as Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaR), General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Project Management Resource Tools (PMRT), and P&R Forms (desirable). Education Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
