Job description

The Retirement & Investment Services Senior Analytics Specialist supports the Strategic Initiatives Manager by identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic business opportunities that drive organizational growth, operational efficiency, and member/client value. This role combines strategic analysis with hands-on project leadership, requiring the ability to research market trends, assess business opportunities, develop recommendations, and independently manage initiatives from concept through implementation. The ideal candidate is both analytical and action-oriented, capable of translating strategic concepts into measurable business outcomes while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions:
Strategic Research & Analysis
Identify and research emerging market trends, industry developments, competitive offerings, and business opportunities.
Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and benchmarking studies.
Evaluate potential initiatives based on strategic alignment, business need, member/client impact, operational feasibility, and revenue potential.
Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, financial projections, and executive recommendations.
Monitor industry trends and recommend innovative solutions to support organizational growth objectives.

Initiative Development
Partner with the Strategic Initiatives Manager to prioritize strategic opportunities and build implementation roadmaps.
Define project scope, objectives, success metrics, timelines, and resource requirements.
Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and assess organizational readiness.
Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.

Project Leadership & Execution
Serve as the project lead for assigned strategic initiatives from approval through implementation.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reporting.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
Facilitate meetings, document decisions, track action items, and drive accountability.
Manage project risks, issues, and change requests.
Ensure successful transition of completed initiatives to business owners and operational teams.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for assigned initiatives.
Monitor project performance and business outcomes.
