Job description


Job Summary:
Responsible for developing and executing allocation strategies that align inventory placement with business needs and customer demand. Analyzes demand and inventory signals to optimize sales, margin, EBITDA, and inventory utilization. Ensures accurate execution in planning systems and monitors inventory flow to identify risks and exceptions. Generates reporting and insights that contribute to incremental improvements in allocation processes.
Job Responsibility:
  • Executes advanced data analysis to develop and implement optimized allocation strategies for non replenished inventory, including seasonal, promotional, off shelf, one time buys, and local assortments.
  • Analyzes sales trends, demand signals, and inventory positions to generate insights that refine allocation strategies and support sales, margin, EBITDA, and minimized residual exposure.
  • Makes independent allocation decisions and executes inventory allocations, such as stock transfer orders and purchase orders, within established parameters and guardrails.
  • Uses enterprise planning and execution systems (SAP, BlueYonder, AS/400, DAA) and advanced analytics tools (Databricks, Python, R, SQL, Excel) to perform accurate, timely allocations and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Keeps documentation of allocation methods and updates to support day to day continuity across rotating categories.
  • Monitors inventory flow to identify risks related to sell through, overstocks, residual inventory, and supply or system constraints.
  • Resolves allocation exceptions, system issues, and supply disruptions, proactively communicating impacts and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Provides recurring performance reporting and insights to cross functional partners including Inventory Management, Merchandising, Suppliers, and Leadership.
  • Recommends process improvements and contributes to enhancements in allocation workflows.

External Basic Qualifications
