Allegiance Medical Group (AMG) is seeking a licensed psychologist in the Cedar Rapids area to partner with us as an independent contractor, providing psychological disability and occupational assessments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a psychologist in private practice who wants to add flexible, assessment-focused work without taking on insurance billing, ongoing therapy patients, or the administrative demands of traditional clinical practice.

You'll work with Veterans, service members, law enforcement professionals, and government employees in a professional, structured environment while maintaining the flexibility and autonomy of your existing practice.

What You'll Do

As an AMG contract examiner, you may perform:

  • VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) psychological disability examinations
  • Psychological evaluations for occupational and employment-related purposes
  • Evaluations for federal, state, and local agencies, as needed

Responsibilities include conducting thorough evaluations, completing standardized documentation, and preparing accurate, well-reasoned reports within required timeframes.

Requirements:What We're Looking For
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted Iowa psychologist license
  • Clinical psychologist licensed to practice independently
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable with electronic documentation and secure systems
  • Experience with VA C&P examinations or federal evaluations preferred, but training and support may be available for qualified candidates

APA board certification and familiarity with federal, occupational, or disability evaluation standards are a plus.

Practice Requirements
  • Must have access to an ADA-compliant practice setting suitable for conducting examinations
  • Must have a secure environment appropriate for confidential patient evaluations
  • Must be comfortable completing electronic documentation and reports
