Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Perform various lab tests. Conduct yarn analysis. Shampoo, etc. Cut samples. Maintain carpet. Yarn standards distributions. Prepare packages for shipments and help lab technicians as requested. Housekeeping and other duties needed to maintain department production levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Communication skills to read, understand and discuss (in English) numerical and alphabetical lot numbers and other product or production information.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in quality control, lab environment, or combined experience in related area.
  • Previous manufacturing lab environment.
  • Good math skills, ability to calculate percentages and formulas.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.​
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Frequent: Handle, manual dexterity, lift 15-20 lbs., reach, stand, stoop, and walk. Use personal protective equipment.

Occasional: Balance, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, hear, kneel, and speak.

Required: Close vision, color and depth perception.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

General warehouse environment. Background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations. Work near moving mechanical parts.
