Job description

Histologist HTL - MT/ASCP Certified
We are seeking a Histology Technologist - ASCP to join a dynamic team at a reputable hospital in Southern Georgia. As a key member of our laboratory team, your expertise in histology will contribute to accurate diagnoses and support high-quality patient care in a collaborative and well-established healthcare setting.
Pay: $63,983 - $87,547
Schedule: Days or Nights
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate specialized instrumentation for tissue dehydration, section clearing, paraffin impregnation, sectioning, and staining slides
  • Prepare solutions, stains, and reagents following standardized procedures and written protocols
  • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all histology laboratory equipment, including sharpening and honing microtome knives
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working condition
Requirements:
  • National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) certification
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Histology or related field
  • ASCP or AMT certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
