Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of tissue processing from fixation through final slide preparation
- Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and special histology techniques
- Maintain laboratory files, records, and documentation required by regulatory agencies
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
- Monitor and restock laboratory supplies to ensure continuous workflow
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance in all histology processes
- Support timely and reliable preparation of specimens for diagnostic use
- Perform other duties as assigned
🎓 Education - Required
- High School Diploma or GED
🎓 Education - Preferred
- Completion of a Histotechnology program or related technical training
- Associate's degree in a related field
Experience
- Preferred: Laboratory-related experience
Licensure / Certification
- Required: ASCP Certified Histotechnician (HT)
- Preferred: Additional ASCP certification
