Job description

Northland Controls is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support multiple integration projects for one of our largest global customers. This role is responsible for programming, testing, commissioning, and supporting enterprise physical security systems while working closely with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support throughout the Integration Implementation Life Cycle.

  • Install, test, configure, and troubleshoot access control and video management systems.

  • Integrate access control and video solutions with customer infrastructure.

  • Support programming and commissioning of card readers, access control panels, alarm devices, cameras, and NVRs.

  • Work directly with customers and train technicians on installed systems.

  • Participate in project and customer meetings to assess requirements and recommend solutions.

  • Create and maintain accurate system documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

  • Perform additional duties as required to support project delivery.

 Qualifications

Required:

  • Lenel OnGuard Fundamentals / Associate / Core experience.

  • Genetec Omnicast and Enterprise experience.

  • Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and hardware troubleshooting.

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting system databases.

  • 5+ years’ experience with Windows Server administration.

  • 5+ years’ experience administering physical security systems.

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Valid driver’s licence.

  • Authorisation to work in the country of employment.

Preferred:

  • Additional physical security or systems integration experience.

  • CCure 9000 and/or Genetec certification.
