Job Summary:
Nexus IT Group is a pioneer in identity graph and customer data solutions for marketing, focusing on highly regulated industries. They are seeking a Senior Database Engineer to architect, develop, and optimize data systems that support their identity and analytics solutions, utilizing AI tools and techniques to enhance database performance.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance relational and analytical databases with an emphasis on scalability and reliability.
• Architect and optimize ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering large‑scale structured and semi‑structured data.
• Apply AI and machine learning tools to enhance database performance, automate repetitive processes, and surface actionable insights from complex data assets.
• Leverage AI‑assisted code generation, anomaly detection, and query optimization techniques to accelerate development and reduce technical debt.
• Partner with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI‑driven data quality checks and intelligent monitoring into pipeline workflows.
• Support website visitor identification, ad‑serving attribution, measurement pipelines, and log‑file tracking through robust database solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI tooling relevant to data engineering—including LLM‑assisted SQL generation, automated schema inference, and intelligent data cataloging.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices in database design, query optimization, and responsible AI integration.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Expert‑level SQL proficiency with 5+ years of hands‑on database development experience.

• Strong grasp of data modeling, normalization, indexing strategies, and query optimization techniques.

Preferred:
