Cascade High SchoolJob Posting: Adjunct Faculty - Politics and Economics2026-2027 Academic School YearCascade High School is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member in Politics and Economics for the 2026-2027 academic school year. This position is hired each semester on an as-needed basis and will work in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College to provide students with high-quality dual credit instruction.General Purpose of the PositionThe Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for creating a learning environment that supports student success and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.Major ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include:Deliver assigned classes in accordance with college policy and course objectivesUse available technology to enhance instructionSupplement and adapt lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials as appropriateMaintain accurate student records, grades, and other required documentationEngage students in meaningful and productive ways that positively impact learningDemonstrate effective teaching strategies, including strategies that support online learnersInteract professionally and cooperatively with students, co-workers, and administrationMaintain a safe, high-quality educational environmentPromote an inclusive environment that reflects the diverse backgrounds of students and staff and ensures all individuals feel respected and valuedThis description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties.
