Job description

FlexStaff is hiring a Architect / Job Captain to join our client's team. We are seeking an experienced architectural draftsperson who runs projects from initial feasibility studies to handing over the certificate of occupancy to the owners.

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000

Location: On-Site Must be able to travel between two sites in their Nassau County offices.ย 

Shift:ย Day Shift - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • May share the responsibilities of the same project with Senior Project Manager.
  • Punctual, professional demeanor, and ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Ultimately responsible for the drafting and completion of a project.
  • Ability to meet milestones laid out by project manager.
  • Attends client-consultants' meetings and construction meetings with the general contractor.
  • Oversees the project from design documentation to completion of construction.
  • Proficient knowledge on how to put together a complete shell of a commercial building.
  • Proficient knowledge of the Building Code and ADA requirements for commercial uses.
  • Proficient understanding of the various agencies that may be required to obtain full permits to construct a commercial building inside and out.
  • Experience in Medical facilities beneficial, along with FGI guidelines for Outpatient Facilities, and Dept of Health Article 28 (Hospitals) regulations.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years' Experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Experience in Procore and Sketchup is beneficial

Experience:

  • Architectural: 5 years (Required)
  • AutoCad: 5 years (Required)
  • ProCore/Sketchup: 1 year (Preferred)
